These services aim to de-escalate immediate crises, ensure the safety of both the children and their families, and enable the children to remain in their current living arrangements. Prevent Suicide NJ (PSNJ) is a comprehensive suicide prevention resource in New Jersey that collaborates with various organizations, schools, and families to reduce suicide rates, remove the stigma surrounding suicide, and support those affected by it. It is aimed at all New Jersey residents, including healthcare providers, educators, suicide prevention experts, parents, youth, and suicide loss survivors. PSNJ is maintained by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and funded by the NJ Department of Health.

This is part of an ongoing effort to improve access to crisis care for marginalized populations at higher risk of suicide.
