Swing for Hope: Spreading Awareness for Mental Health & Suicide Prevention

On February 27, 2025, Brady’s Voice and OBHS Hope Squad partnered for a powerful night of awareness and connection at Golf Republic in Matawan, NJ. The Swing for Hope event brought together 75 guests for an evening of simulator golf, great food, and important conversations about mental health and suicide prevention.
A Night of Impact and Awareness
From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, attendees had the opportunity to network, enjoy friendly competition on the golf simulators, and learn about the mission of Brady’s Voice and the Hope Squad program.
At 6:45 PM, the program kicked off with:
✅ Scott Elbaum from Brady’s Voice, who shared the organization’s recent accomplishments and ongoing efforts.
✅ A video message from Hope Squad CEO Greg Hudnall, highlighting the program’s national impact.
✅ A speech from the Hope Squad Advisor at St. Rose, offering insights into how the program is changing lives.
✅ Dr. Sasso, Principal of Old Bridge High School (Brady’s school) and a Hope Squad Advisor, who spoke about the importance of peer-to-peer support in schools.
Building a Stronger Community
The night was a huge success, reinforcing the importance of suicide prevention, mental health education, and support networks for students. It was inspiring to see such strong engagement from students, educators, and community members who are passionate about making a difference.
A special thank you to Golf Republic for hosting, to all our corporate supporters (including S&P Global!), and to everyone who attended. Your support helps expand the reach of Hope Squad and ensures that more students have access to peer-led mental health resources.
Together, we are breaking the stigma around mental health and saving lives through connection and support.
